Who We Are
Publisher & Editor: Kathy DKK Banggo is a poet/writer/editor from O‘ahu, Hawai‘i. She is part Hawaiian, and spent much of her youth on the North Shore of O‘ahu. She has worked with Hawaii Bride & Groom magazine, OHOHIA, Ad Strategies International/Wyland Galleries Hawaii, KPMG LLP, The Kohala Center, and more. She lives with her husband and daughter, tuxedo cat, and poi dog on Hawai‘i Island.Contributing Editor, Atlantic Ocean: Angeline Acain was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai‘i, where Waikiki Beach/the Pacific Ocean was her playground. In 1972, Acain began surfing waves on a board at age 13. About seven years later, Acain's relationship with the Pacific Ocean deepened when she became a certified scuba diver and also assisted others in learning to dive. Acain currently resides in New York City and although she prefers the Pacific, she now spends her leisure time enjoying the Atlantic Ocean. Before moving to New York, Acain and Banggo were South Shore surf buddies. Acain is a successful publisher--visit Gay Parent magazine.
